At Maisha Yangu , our mission is far beyond academic support- we are dedicated to nurturing the whole child, including their spiritual growth.
A Time of Growth and Reflection.
One of the impactful tools in this journey has been Bible study. Every Saturday children gather eagerly for Bible Study sessions that are based on their age and understanding. These moments are filled with stories, discussions and reflections that helps them see how God’s word applies to their daily lives. We believe that when a child is rooted in truth early, their foundation for life becomes unshakable. Through studying the scripture the children are learning values such as honesty, kindness, forgiveness and perseverance. They are discovering what it means to love others, to serve with humility and to stand firm in their identity. These lessons don’t just stay in the classroom- we see them in how Maisha Yangu kids treat each other, support their peers and carry themselves at home and in the community.
Bible study has also become a safe space for our children to ask questions , share struggles and find hope. Many come from challenging background’s and through reading the scriptures, they are provided with comfort and direction. Whether it’s learning to trust God in hard times or forgiving someone who hurt them, they are finding healing in God’s promises. The young people at Maisha Yangu are not just receivers, they are becoming leaders, some have begun leading in prayers, reading scripture aloud. It is heartwarming to see their confidence grow as they take ownership of their faith journey.

That’s why our Saturday Bible Study Program has become one of the most impactful pillars of our work with children and youth. Week after week, we witness something extraordinary: young lives being reshaped through spiritual growth, moral discipline, and a deepened sense of personal purpose.
